HISTORY
Building Our Legacy
The story of Premium began in 1993, when a family-owned concrete contractor set out to deliver structural excellence in the heart of the Midwest. Founded on grit, integrity, and a commitment to quality, Premium Concrete quickly became a trusted name in the Chicagoland construction scene—self-performing concrete on both small and large-scale commercial, industrial, and multi-family developments.
Over the years, Premium Concrete established long-standing partnerships with general contractors and developers by doing what others couldn’t: showing up, following through, and getting the job done—no matter how complex or aggressive the schedule.
A New Chapter Out West
As the company grew, so did its vision. In 2020, Premium officially expanded to the West Coast with the launch of Premium West Construction, based in San Diego, California. Founded by the next generation of leadership and backed by decades of operational experience, Premium West brought a fresh perspective to the Southern California market—while staying true to the values that built the brand:

Premium West began with concrete work across San Diego County before quickly expanding into full-service general contracting. From multi-family podium projects to commercial TI buildouts—including the notable Lana Restaurant in Solana Beach—Premium West became known for its ability to deliver on time, with in-house crews and hands-on project leadership.
Built to Perform
To further strengthen its integrated approach, Premium West Electric was launched in 2023. This strategic move allowed the Premium team to self-perform both concrete and electrical scopes—offering better control, faster timelines, and unified project execution from the ground up.
